An endowment gift to the YMCA of the Triangle today means a brighter picture tomorrow. When you make a donation to our endowment, you give a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits.
Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs at the YMCA of the Triangle. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support.
An Example of an Endowed Gift
Longtime YMCA members and supporters Susan and Charles have two goals: First, they want to make sure the YMCA of the Triangle continues to receive support after they're gone. Second, they want to memorialize Susan's parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Jones.
Susan and Charles make a $25,000 donation to the YMCA of the Triangle. The YMCA invests the money and each year a portion of the income from the investment will be used to support the YMCA Mission in honor of the Joneses. Plus, Susan and Charles qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction on their taxes.
